Mission
I asked the Moshiach, "When will you come?" and he said to me: "When your wellsprings shall spread to the outside."
The Baal Shem Tov
Ohr Shlomo Chassidic Center:
Our mission is to offer a continually expanding inspirational program to meet the modern day needs and challenges of all ages, based on and illuminated by the teachings of the Baal Shem Tov. No one walks out the door the same they came in at Ohr Shlomo!
The Center has a unique character reminiscent of Meron on L’ag B’omer! You will find the simcha that is Breslov, the Chassidus that is Chabad, the love and affection for the land of Israel that is Rav Kook, the scholarship that is Monsey and Lakewood, and the beacon of hospitality that is Reb Shayala.
In other words, Ohr Shlomo is built on the universal Jewish foundation of Ahavas Hashem and Ahavas Yisroel .Named for the famed troubadour of song and joy R’ Shlomo Carlebach ZT”L, the Center pulses with the energy that attracts young and old. The Center transcends the functionality of daily prayer and learning, offering the elixir of fellowship and unmatched support for each unique individual who comes in the door.
The center is home to a prestigious Choshen Mishpat kollel that fills a growing void in the community, impactful projects for bachurim, a kriah program with a life-long impact on its participants, and more.
Of course, this Makom Kodesh naturally embodies boundless generosity — in fact, it is inherent to it. But this generosity can only flourish when each of us contributes from within.
This generosity is needed now more than ever. On top of the escalating operational expenses, the center’s growth now demands a strategic expansion to continue providing support and services to the many Yidden who wish to bask in its light:
For ourselves.
For our children.
For our fellow Yidden.
Thank you for being part of this revolutionary mission!
Lets keep Ohr Shlomo lit by your generous heartfelt donations.
May Hashem respond to your kindness 10 times fold.
